Ingredients of Indian Beef Masala

  1. It’s 500 gms of Beef of.

  2. It’s 1 of onion large sliced fine.

  3. Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.

  4. Prepare 1 tbsp of coriander powder.

  5. It’s 1/2 tsp of chilli powder.

  6. Prepare 1 tsp of garam masala.

  7. You need 1 tbsp of ginger paste.

  8. It’s 1 tbsp of garlic paste.

  9. You need 1/2 tsp of fennel seeds.

  10. Prepare 4 of cloves.

  14. Prepare to taste of Salt.

  15. You need 2 - 3 tbsps of Coconut Oil.

This recipe has been slightly modifed by using curry paste instead of powder and adding green beans.

I am a big beef fan LOL and I usually use beef in pasta dishes or stir frys, so at the super market couple of weeks ago I grabbed a tray of diced beef and put this.

Indian Beef Masala step by step

  1. Begin by pressure cooking the beef with some water and a pinch of turmeric powder. I cooked it for a few whistles to make the beef extra soft.

  2. When that was ready, heat the coconut oil in a pan, and saute the onions until it is golden brown. Next the ginger and garlic paste along with the fennel seeds, cloves, star anise, cinnamon stick go in.

  3. Give it a couple of minutes to get aromatic, then add the curry leaves and the beef, and the spices: turmeric, coriander, chilly and the garam masala. Season with salt, and give it all a good stir so everything is well combined. Reduce the flame to low till the masala is cooked through and the beef is roasted well.

  4. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves before serving.

  5. This dish is a great meat side dish with lentil curry, or even flavoured rice like coconut or veg pulao. I mixed some beef with white rice and served it to my 22mos old, she LOVED it!.
