Ingredients of Beef Pilau

  1. It’s 2 cups of rice.

  2. Prepare 4 1/2 cups of water.

  3. You need 1/4 cup of vegetable oil.

  4. Prepare of Ground pilau Marsala spice.

  5. It’s of Salt.

  6. You need 1 kg of beef.

  7. You need 1 tbsp of ginger.

  8. It’s 1 tbsp of garlic.

Make the pilau masala: In a medium bowl, combine the cumin, paprika, cardamom, black pepper, and cloves.

Beef Pilau instructions

  1. Boil beef until almost cooked. Retain the broth that you cooked the dish with as this will be used in cooking the rice.

  2. In deep pan add chopped onions with oil.

  3. Cook the onions until very dark brown but not burnt. Add ginger garlic paste and cook until a little browned.

  4. Add salt and pilau Marsala spices, cook a few seconds, add beef, cover and cook a little further.

  5. Measure out the beef broth that remained and top with water to complete the 4 1/2 cups and pour into the pan. Cover and let boil.

  6. Once water has boiled add rice, taste for seasoning and cover with lid. Cook on high heat until water has almost evaporated.

  7. Turn heat to low and let rice simmer slowly until dried. Fluff with fork and serve.
