Ingredients of Beef pilau

  1. Prepare 250 gms of beef.

  2. You need 1.5 glass of rice.

  3. Prepare 2 glasses of water.

  4. It’s 1 of big onion.

  5. It’s cloves of Garlic.

  6. It’s of Cardamom.

  7. Prepare of Cinnamon.

  8. You need of Cumin.

  9. You need of Black pepper.

  10. It’s of Pilau masala.

Make the pilau masala: In a medium bowl, combine the cumin, paprika, cardamom, black pepper, and cloves.

Beef pilau instructions

  1. Wash and boil you beef with some salt.

  2. Wash and soak your rice for some mins as you wait for the beef to boil.

  3. When the beef is ready, put the beef in a separate bowl and use the same pot.add some cooking oil.(a little more then we use for Normal rice to avoid it being so dry).

  4. When the oil is hot enough add your chopped onions…(hot oil gives that nice smell when you put onions)stirl until soft..

  5. Add garlic chopped..add your spices now…stirl until the onions are brown…. (The brown onions will give they brown colour to the rice).but dont let them turn black..

  6. Add water,adjust your salt to your liking…drain the rice and add it to the beef stir to have i t uniformed. Cover and let it cook under low heat..

  7. Before it dries up switch off the heat and let it simmer..

  8. Serve with kachumbari salad.

Add the Beef and then the pilau mix.

Let the spices burn a bit and add salt.
