Fish Somay with Spicy Peanut sauce. Siomay (also Somay), is an Indonesian steamed fish dumpling with vegetables served in peanut sauce. It is derived from Chinese Shumai. It is considered a light meal that is a type of Chinese Dim Sum, but is cone shaped.
This Peanut Sauce Recipe can be used as a dipping sauce, salad dressing, for peanut noodles or with chicken satay.

You need 250 grams of spanish mackerel or any white fish.

Prepare 2 tbsp of spring onion, thinly slice.

Brush peanut oil over both sides of fish.
Stuff lemon grass, gingerroot, and lime slices into fish cavity.
Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and whisk well.

Prepare steamer, boiled water.

Place the somay igredients in a food processor, and grind a little, not too smooth.

Fill the dumpling wrap with somay paste.

Put in the steamer for 20 minutes.

The sauce, put everything the food processor and grind untul the consistency you want, and then boil it wit a little water until a litlle thicker.

At the end give a pinch of salt and pepper.

Serve with hard boiled egg, boiled/roasted potato and a little bit lime squeeze.
