Mat paratha step by step

  1. In a big bowl take 1 bowl wheat flour add salt ginger garlic green chilli pastes Palak puree and knead the dough adding water only if required as puree already contains enough water. Cover let it rest. In an another big bowl take 1 bowl. Wheat flour add cooked mashed tuver dal (which already contains salt and turmeric) add water with caution and need a paratha consistency Dough. Cover let it rest..

  2. After 15 mins Roll out parathas from each kneaded dough seperately..

  3. Cut straight strips and put them interlocked OR weave the paratha using one stripe on another with the alternate dough strips. As shown in the pic below. It should look like a mat or chatai..

  4. Heat a skillet. Placed the weaved paratha. Flip and Cook paratha on both sides from high to low flame pouring ghee. Cover and cook for better results..

  5. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or chutneys of your choice..
