Ingredients of Stuffed Moong Dal Paratha

  1. You need 1 cup of yellow split moong dal(soaked for 1 hour).

  2. You need 1 of finely chopped onion.

  3. You need 1 tsp of red chilli powder.

  4. It’s 1 tablespoon of oil.

  5. You need 1 tsp of cumin seeds.

  6. Prepare 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.

  7. It’s 1/2 tsp of coriander powder.

  8. Prepare to taste of Salt.

  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp of dry fenugreek leaves.

  10. You need 2 cups of wheat flour dough.

He was given lunch box menu for the whole month and one item in that menu was the moong dal paratha.

  1. Heat oil, add cumin seeds. Let them splutter. Add onion and cook till dark brown..

  2. Drain water from the moong dal. Add spices to onion and cook for 2mins. Add moong dal and 1/2cup of water. Cook till water is dried and dal is properly cooked. It should be soft but dont over cook else it will become mushy. Turn off the gas snd cool the mixture.Your stuffing is ready..

  3. Now take a small portion of dough, roll it and place 2tblspn of moong dal stuffing in the center.

  4. Close the paratha, covering the stuffing from all sides, al roll it again to aregular sized paratha..

  5. Heat tawa, and place the paratha. Using, ghee or oil cook the paratha from both the sides till golden brown..

  6. Serve hot with sauce, chutney, ghee or butter..
