  2. You need 1 liter of Milk.

Ras malai - Ras literally translates to "juice" and malai to "cream".

  1. Pour the milk in a big pan,.

  3. Bring the milk to boil..

  4. Meanwhile, combine the milk powder, oil, baking powder, the remainimg saffron, the crushed cardamoms &the egg..

  5. Mix well till it forms a nice dough..

  6. Make small balls out of the dough..

  7. As soon as finished making balls, put them gently in the boiling milk, lower the heat a little, so that the milk doesnt overflow & keep turning them gently, BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THEM..

  8. When the balls start rising, lower the heat a little & keep stirring GENTLY. Cook for about 7-8 more minutes..

  9. Remove from heat. Transfer into a serving dish & garnish with sliced almonds & pistacchios..

  10. Refrigerate after cooling it completely. Serve cold..
