I used three different cheese and a homemade cheese sauce to take this macaroni and cheese recipe.

Baked Mac and Cheese step by step

  1. Boil 1 cup macaroni..

  2. Boil till 80 percent done..

  3. In another pan heat 2 tbsp butter..

  4. When it is melted add 2 tbsp maida..

  5. Mix and cook for 1 to 2 min with continue stirring..

  6. Then add 300 ml milk slowly not altoghether..

  7. When it thickens add salt and pepper..

  8. Then add 2 cheese slices and mix well..

  9. Add 1 cup boiled pasta.and mix well..

  10. Then add 1/2 cup pineapple and mix well..

  11. Pour macaroni in a baking dish and add cheese according to you choice and then bake it at 200 degrees for 15 to 18 mins..

  12. And enjoyyy…!!!.

The addition of gruyere to the cheese sauce in this recipe is next level but of course whatever you have on and will work just do not use pre-shredded cheese.

Some 'scratch' mac-n-cheese recipes seem to require too much flour or baking time and the texture can be very grainy.

Only changes - I omitted the worcestorshire and used a little extra cheese on top.
