This peanut sauce has been around the block a few times here on Pinch of Yum - it started with these zoodles, re-purposed its way into these firecracker.

Peanut sauce is used with chicken, meat and vegetables, adding flavor to grilled skewered meat, such as satays.

You can cook Super Easylicious Peanut Sauce using 8 ingredients and 2 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Super Easylicious Peanut Sauce

  1. You need 1/2 cup of Hoisin sauce.

  2. Prepare 1/4 cup of peanut butter.

  3. You need 2 Tablespoons of water.

  4. You need 1 Tablespoon of lime or lemon juice.

  5. It’s 2-3 Tablespoons of minced onion OR 1 teaspoon minced garlic.

  6. Prepare 1 Tablespoon of sriracha (or sambal oelek or chili garlic paste).

  7. You need of optional: chopped fresh chilies to taste (I used Thai chilies today).

  8. You need of optional: chopped roasted peanuts, if you've got 'em.

For the peanut sauce: In a food processor, grind the peanuts into a fine meal.

If using sesame seeds, grind them into a fine meal using a spice/coffee grinder or a mortar and pestle, being careful not to over grind them into sesame butter.

This peanut sauce is very flavorful, with lemon, ginger, and quite a bit of heat.

It's good with satays, stir-frys, rice bowls, or good as a dip.
