Goan Raw Banana Sabzi is a turmeric flavoured simple dry sabzi made with raw bananas, served with phulka, stew and rice.

It is very easy to make and is perfect for your Lunch Box.

Serve it along with Phulka, Steamed Rice and Feijoada Recipe (Spicy Goan Black Eyed Peas Stew) for a rainy weeknight dinner.

  1. Prepare 2-3 of raw bananas.

  2. Prepare 2 tbsp of oil.

  3. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Jeera/cumin seeds.

  4. You need 1/2 tsp of rai/mustard seeds.

  5. You need 1 of onion finely chopped.

  6. Prepare 1 of green chilli chopped.

  7. Prepare 1/4 tsp of haldi/Turmeric powder.

  8. It’s 1/2 tsp of roasted jeera (cumin)powder.

  10. Prepare 1 spring of curry leaves.

  11. Prepare 1 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.

Raw banana dry sabzi step by step

  1. Wash and peel the bananas. Cut them into small pieces and keep in water.

  2. Heat oil in a kadai add jeera and rai when they crackle add curry leaves and green chilli fry for a few second,add the banana pieces to it stir fry for a few mins.

  3. Add haldi powder, roasted jeera powder, chilli powder, chopped onion and stir fry on medium flame, add salt mix it well. Cover and cook on very low flame till the bananas are tender. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Raw banana stir fried sabzi is done and ready, garnish with some green coriander leaves.

Serving: Serve this delicious raw banana stir fried sabzi with chapatti, parantha or rice.
